DESCRIPTION:During these days\, the KOM was launched at UEx. Also the different delegations of the alliance worked together to establish the basis for the functioning of the consortium and the joint strategy for the next 4 years. The technical sessions included: technical meeting of rectors and vice-rectors\, finance\, training on agile methodologies\, Work Package meetings\, etc. \n \nOn Tuesday 31st\, the official inauguration was led by European\, Spanish national\, regional and EUGREEN authorities: Pedro F. Salguero\, Rector of the UEX\, Antonio Hidalgo\, former Rector\, Ylva Fältholm\, Rector of Gävle\, José Lorenzo Vallés\, Head of Unit for European Higher Education at the European Executive Agency for Education and Culture\, Rafael España Santamaría\, Regional Counsellor of Economy\, Science and Digital Agenda\, José Manuel González Canino\, Director of the Higher Education Unit\, to which the university community was invited\, as well as the general presentation that was broadcasted in streaming. SUMMARY:Ukrainian and EU GREEN Rectors’ session at Plenary Hall
DESCRIPTION:On 30th of January 2023 a meeting between EU GREEN Rectors and Ukrainian delegation took place at the Plenary Hall of the Town Hall of Cáceres in the presence of the deputy mayor of the city\, Mr. Jorge Villar Guijarro. The session was led by prof. Anna Chełmońska-Soyta\, vice-rector for Internationalization of the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences (UPWr). During the session Krzysztof Kafarski\, Director of the International Relations Office at UPWr\, presented the assumptions of the INTERACT project. Then Prof. Ksenia Smyrnova\, vice-rector for internationalization – Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv\, gave a joint presentation of the Ukrainian side on the current situation of the higher education sector in conditions of a war-torn country. \nA discussion took place\, as a result of which an outline of the plan of cooperation and joint activities was established within the INTERACT project. All nine universities of the Alliance have declared their participation in the project. The Ukrainian side is to present the scope of its needs and expectations in the coming month relation to the INTERACT project. In this way\, EU GREEN consortium members will be able to meet their expectations and create tailor-made trainings\, study visits\, etc.\, which will involve the Ukrainian partners in the activities of the EU GREEN Alliance in the long-term perspective.

The alliance together forms a ‘supercampus’ with more than 158\,000 students and 18\,000 staff. Rectors had their meeting as well and collaborated actively in the workshops.This was the setting of what EU GREEN was meant to be. Nobody left behind.
