DESCRIPTION

The Blended Intensive Programme “Sustainable Food Marketing and Local Chains” explores how marketing, communication, and innovation support the transition towards sustainable and resilient agri-food systems. It examines the links between consumer behaviour, product innovation, short food supply chains, and territorial development, aligned with the objectives of the European Green Deal and the Farm to Fork Strategy.

The programme combines five days of virtual learning and five days of on-site sessions in Extremadura (Spain), offering a mix of theoretical foundations and practice-oriented workshops. The online part focuses on marketing concepts, consumer decision-making, sensory marketing, and supply chain governance, while the on-site part applies these concepts through case studies and team projects in an international setting.

Using interactive lectures, discussions, and project-based learning, participants develop analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. By the end of the programme, students will be able to design and present a sustainable marketing strategy for local food chains, integrating knowledge and competences acquired throughout the course.
