United for Mental Health is a shared EU GREEN initiative designed to create a structured and accessible space for dialogue, reflection and learning around mental health and emotional wellbeing across the Alliance.
Through a series of monthly webinars delivered by experts from different partner universities, this initiative promotes collective awareness, knowledge exchange and the normalisation of conversations about mental health within academic environments.
Each session addresses key dimensions of psychological wellbeing, combining scientific knowledge with practical tools that participants can apply in their daily academic and professional lives.
WEBINAR 1: Stress Management - Coping Techniques
This EU GREEN webinar explored stress and practical coping strategies for academic and professional contexts. Led by Jorge Rojo Pascual and Raquel García Dávila, it introduced tools for emotional regulation, stress management, and long-term wellbeing.
WEBINAR 2: Mental Health in the LGBTQ+ Community
and the Role of Minority Stress
This session aims to raise awareness about the mental health challenges experienced by members of the LGBTQ+ community, particularly within academic environmentsDuring the session, participants will explore the concept of minority stress and the specific stressors often faced by LGBTQ+ individuals. The webinar will also highlight practical actions that individuals and institutions can take to support mental health and well-being within the community.
WEBINAR 3: Sowing the Seeds of Calmness to Learn
How to incorporate short sophrology sessions at the begining of lessons to help students to relax and strengthen capacity to learn? This session will present this project with regards to student’s stress management and mental health. They will share their experiences of incorporating these short sessions into their lessons, and will give you a live demonstration of this 5-minute sophrology session, so that you can then discuss the possibility of replicating the experience with your students!
