The 3rd edition of the EU GREEN Research Week will take place from Monday, June 9 to Friday, June 13, 2025, at the University of Parma (Italy).
This annual gathering is a key highlight in the EU GREEN academic calendar, a unique opportunity to strengthen our research community through face-to-face collaboration, fruitful exchanges, and strategic planning.
The Research Week brings together members of the Research Clusters, the PhD Council, the European Task Force, and the Joint Research Commission. Through plenary sessions, collaborative meetings, and open discussions, we will:
- Define the future roadmap for the alliance’s research
- Foster new interdisciplinary collaborations
- Strengthen the alliance’s research ecosystem
PROGRAMME
Rooting research in society: a multi-level stakeholder approach
This year, we’ll explore how research can better connect with society at all levels. Three open roundtables will address:
- Campus scale: students, citizens, and associations
- City scale: local authorities and public services
- Regional scale: public and private enterprises (SMEs, large companies)
The goal? Strengthen the link between research and regional sustainability needs, and build impactful external networks.
The future of EU GREEN research collaboration after 2026
This Research Week will be the starting point for shaping our next steps beyond 2026. Let’s reflect together on how we want our alliance’s research collaboration to evolve.
Throughout the week, dedicated slots will allow:
- Cluster or project-based meetings
- Informal scientific matchmaking opportunities
- Networking moments to discover new potential partners
Finals of the “3-minute fame” competition
In parallel, this event will also host the final of the “3-Minute Fame” competition, where PhD candidates from the 9 partner universities will present their research in just 3 minutes, in front of an EU GREEN jury.
They will also take part in workshops to strengthen their cross-disciplinary skills.
