Inquebrantable es el vínculo que nos une con la criatura húmeda, la flor que brota de nuestras entrañas. Que no se trata de sangre, se trata del pacto que elegimos adquirir por voluntad propia. Dar lo que fuera por verle sonreír, existir y sobre todo, no sufrir. Entonces transcurre la vida con una interminable duda de si hacemos bien o mal, porque siempre queremos ser mejores para alguien que, con unos ojos más pequeños que los nuestros, te mira con admiración. Alejandro es un hombre transgénero que actualmente tiene 55 años y fue madre a los 30 años.
Unbreakable is the bond that connects us to the damp little creature, the flower that blooms from our very core. It is not about blood — it is about the pact we willingly choose to make. We would give anything to see them smile, to see them exist, and above all, not to suffer. Life then unfolds under a constant doubt: are we doing right or wrong? Because we always strive to be better for someone who, with eyes smaller than ours, looks at us with admiration. Todas llevan camisetas negras y cintas con la palabra “Survivor”, lo que refuerza la sensación de unión, superación y fuerza colectiva. Con este retrato drag, quiero poner de relieve su apoyo a la comunidad lgtbi y la importancia de aceptar las diferencias: “If you’re gay, you’re gay. If you’re straight, you’re straight. And you should be allowed to be how you are and who you are.”
This portrait pays tribute to Dolly Parton, known for her glamorous style. She once said that if she hadn’t been born a girl, she would have been a drag queen. With this drag portrait, I want to highlight her support for the LGTBI community and the importance of embracing differences: “If you’re gay, you’re gay. If you’re straight, you’re straight. And you should be allowed to be how you are and who you are.”
