EU GREEN Teachers Mobility & Exchange 2026

The EU GREEN Teachers Mobility and Exchange Programme offers academic staff from EU GREEN partner universities the opportunity to take part in short-term teaching assignments at another university within the Alliance during the 2025/2026 academic year.

This programme aims to strengthen inter-university collaboration, foster innovative and interdisciplinary teaching practices, and enrich the learning experience of students by integrating international and diverse academic perspectives. Through teaching mobility, EU GREEN contributes to the development of a shared European academic space grounded in sustainability, inclusion and academic excellence.

Who can participate?

The programme is open to academic staff affiliated with an EU GREEN partner university, including:

  • Professors

  • Lecturers

  • Researchers with teaching responsibilities

Interested academics may apply to teaching opportunities published by host universities within the Alliance. Teaching assignments are proposed by course unit coordinators or assistants at the hosting institutions and published on the EU GREEN Teaching Opportunities Dashboard  .

Teaching mobility framework

Teaching mobilities:

  • Have a minimum duration of 2 days and a maximum of 60 days

  • Must include at least 8 teaching hours

  • Typically take place within short stays of 2 to 7 days, which are the periods eligible for standard Erasmus+ STA funding

  • Must be carried out between 1 January 2026 and 31 December 2026

The specific content, schedule and teaching format are agreed directly between the hosting and visiting academics, according to mutual academic interests and institutional regulations.

Funding and practical arrangements

Selected teaching mobilities may be funded through:

  • Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching (STA)

  • EU GREEN internal funds

  • Other institutional mobility schemes available at the home university

Please note that funding is managed by the home institution of the selected academic, and being accepted by a host university does not automatically guarantee financial support. Applicants are therefore advised to contact their local International Relations Office to confirm funding conditions before finalising their mobility plans  .

How to apply

Teaching opportunities are published on a rolling basis throughout the 2025/2026 academic year, with expressions of interest accepted until 30 September 2026.

Interested academics can:

  1. Consult the list of host universities and available teaching opportunities published on this page.

  2. Contact the proposing academic or hosting institution directly to express their interest.

  3. Coordinate with their home university to confirm funding and administrative procedures.

All approved mobilities must be completed by 31 December 2026

I am seeking a mobility fellow to contribute to the course that I lead “Agriculture and the Environment”, designed for students of Management and Production Engineering. The primary goal of this collaboration is to bridge the gap between theoretical environmental management and practical field engineering. The fellow will be expected to deliver a ~1 hour guest lecture focusing on how various environmental management systems and agroecosystems influence biodiversity and vital ecosystem functions. This theoretical foundation should prepare students to understand the ecological consequences of industrial and agricultural production.

In addition to the lecture, the fellow will play a key role in a full-day field workshop (~ 7h) conducted in local forest complexes and urban parks. The field trip focuses on different types of forest and park management, analyzing their impact on biodiversity, ecological succession, and water management within various vegetation structures. During the trip, the fellow will help me to supervise students as they work in small groups across diverse terrains to identify and categorize local flora, fauna, fungi, and microorganisms. It could be helpful if a fellow could introduce students to professional monitoring tools, such as phytosociological relevés or other biodiversity assessment methods used in Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for investment projects.

I’m looking for various experts—ecologists, botanists, zoologists, or specialists in horticulture, agriculture, and forestry—who can enrich the students’ experience with their specific research insights. I’m looking for a collaborator who is passionate about field-based education and capable of adapting ecological concepts to the needs of future production engineers. The specific topics and methodology remain flexible, and I am eager to co-create the final program to align with the visiting scientist’s expertise and interests.
