Language Flash Courses

To promote and celebrate the rich linguistic and cultural diversity within the EU GREEN European Alliance, the Vice Chancellorship of Academic Planning at the University of Extremadura, through its Direction of Internationalization of Studies and the Service for Teacher Orientation and Training (SOFD), is launching the first edition of the FLASH Language Course series.

This initiative is supported by the Plurilingualism Team of the EU GREEN Alliance.


What are FLASH Language Courses?

FLASH courses are concentrated, survival-language courses designed for professors and staff who want to gain a basic introduction to less-commonly-taught languages in the Alliance.

Courses are:

  • Taught by native speakers
  • Delivered online
  • Open to all EU GREEN professors and staff
  • Offered free of charge
  • Organised in a friendly, international, professional learning environment

Languages Offered – First Edition

  • Swedish Dates: Oct. 8, 10, 14, 17, 20, 24, 28, Nov. 4, 7, 11, 14, 18 Time: 13:30–14:30 (Madrid Time)
  • Polish Dates: Nov. 10 – Dec. 19 Time: To be confirmed
  • Romanian Dates: Nov. 3 – Dec. 10 Days: Mondays and Wednesdays Time: 17:00–18:00 (Madrid Time)

General Information

  • Duration: 6 weeks (12 hours total, 2 hours per week)
  • Delivery: Online (links provided by email)
  • Participants: Up to 32 per language
  • Eligibility: 4 spots per language per university (excluding the country of origin of the language)
  • Minimum: 10 participants per course required for it to run
  • Selection: First come, first served

Certification

Participants who regularly attend the course will receive a Certificate of Completion issued jointly by EU GREEN and University of Extremadura.
