EU GREEN Student Ambassador Programme

What is the EU GREEN Student Ambassador Programme?

The programme will establish a network of student representatives across the EU GREEN partner universities, strengthening students’ involvement in the development, governance and promotion of the Alliance.

Each partner university will select up to 15 Student Ambassadors, with a maximum of three ambassadors in each of five categories. Across the Alliance, the community is therefore expected to bring together approximately 135 students. 

Students can apply for one of five areas:

• Mobility Student Ambassador – promoting mobility opportunities and sharing first-hand student mobility experiences.
• Innovation Student Ambassador – contributing to innovation and innovative projects.
• Inclusion Student Ambassador – supporting inclusion, sharing good practices and promoting the inclusion dimension across EU GREEN.
• Social Engagement Student Ambassador – contributing to social engagement activities and stakeholder involvement.
• Campus Student Ambassador – promoting their university campus and raising awareness of local and regional good practices. 

Why become an EU GREEN Student Ambassador?

Being an EU GREEN Student Ambassador is an opportunity to become actively involved in a European university community built around sustainability, inclusion, innovation, education, research and international cooperation.

Ambassadors will collaborate with students and university staff across Europe, support the dissemination of EU GREEN opportunities and initiatives, and may participate in international meetings, workshops, training sessions and networking activities.

The experience is also designed to help students develop leadership, communication, teamwork, organisational and intercultural skills, gain practical experience in communication and student engagement, and build an international professional network. 

Who can apply?

The call is open to students from all disciplines enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral programme at any of the nine EU GREEN partner universities.

Applicants must have at least a B1 level of English, with B2 or above considered an asset. Candidates should also demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills, confidence using social media and digital communication tools, motivation and initiative, and the ability to work in multicultural and international environments.

Previous knowledge of EU GREEN is valuable, but students who demonstrate a strong willingness to learn about the Alliance before taking on the role are also eligible.

Candidates must submit their application through the official application form, completing all mandatory fields and providing the required information about their academic background and motivation.

Applications will be assessed by the candidate’s home university, taking into account academic performance, motivation, previous academic and extracurricular engagement, communication skills and alignment with EU GREEN’s mission and values.
