UPWr Creates Inclusive Zone to Promote SDGs and Multilingualism

A new student space at UPWr invites relaxation, reflection, and dialogue — combining comfort with education on sustainability and inclusion, in nine languages.

UPWr has unveiled a new relaxation zone designed to promote both well-being and awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Created as part of Work Package 7 of the EU GREEN Alliance, the space features colorful cube poufs printed with the SDGs in nine languages spoken across the alliance: English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, and Swedish.

Two of the poufs include QR codes linking to more information about the SDGs, encouraging students to explore global issues in an informal, welcoming environment.

“Multilingualism is one of the pillars of our collaboration within EU GREEN. This initiative promotes diversity and reminds us how language and culture unite our academic communities,” says Patrycja Krzemieniec, coordinator of WP7 at UPWr.

“It’s more than just a chill-out zone,” adds Jan Miniajluk, Board Member for Eco-Initiatives in the UPWr Student Government. “It’s a space to relax, connect, and engage with topics that matter to us all.”

This initiative reflects UPWr’s strong focus on sustainability, inclusion, and student-centered spaces — values at the core of the EU GREEN Alliance.
