Magdeburg, 18–20 November 2025 – Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg
Nearly 50 representatives from the nine partner universities of the EU GREEN Alliance gathered at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg for the EU GREEN Inclusion Days & Communication Days — a joint event dedicated to strengthening the Alliance’s strategy for visibility, inclusion, and innovation in higher education. Over three days, the university hosted sessions that advanced collaboration, reinforced shared goals, and set the path forward for the coming years.

Strategic Progress in Communication and Dissemination
The Communication Days were a decisive moment to evaluate the Alliance’s current communication plan and structure, while laying the foundations for its renewal in the next phase of EU GREEN. A standout feature was the expert session led by Armando Uribe-Echevarria, Head of Communication at the EUTOPIA Alliance, who shared best practices and inspired dialogue on building strong and unified European University narratives.
The meetings also led to key decisions on the internal organisation of the Communication Subcommission, setting the course for greater impact in visibility and outreach. Dani Lourtau, Communication Coordinator for EU GREEN, highlighted: “These Communication Days marked a turning point. They have reinforced our commitment to achieving greater visibility and meaningful engagement with students, staff, and wider society.”

Advancing Inclusion and Digital Transformation in Education
The Inclusion Days celebrated major achievements, including the announcement of the winners of the Alliance-wide Photo Contest, whose works will be exhibited across all nine universities and at the European Parliament — reinforcing EU GREEN’s shared identity and commitment to community engagement.
Workshops and discussions explored topics such as inclusive digital education, DEI practices, and quality management, with one of the most impactful announcements being the upcoming launch of nine MOOCs tailored for underrepresented student groups. These efforts reflect EU GREEN’s inclusive approach to transforming higher education.
In addition, the outline of the ADI Report (Assessment for Digital Inclusion) was finalised, and future Inclusion Days were announced to take place at the University of Oradea and ATU.
Karla Barth, WP7 Manager, noted: “These Inclusion Days weren’t just a gathering — it was a clear demonstration that our mission is moving forward. From accessible MOOCs and the development of the ADI report to initiatives that connect our community through art and sport, we are witnessing ideas becoming outcomes, and outcomes generating real impact.”

Held in Magdeburg, the EU GREEN Inclusion Days & Communication Days have proven to be a driving force for building a stronger, more connected, and more inclusive Alliance — one that is committed to shaping the future of higher education across Europe.
