The Young Research Marathon 2025 will take place on April 24, 2025, in Badajoz, Spain, organized by the University of Extremadura (UEx) in collaboration with the EU GREEN Alliance. This multidisciplinary congress offers young researchers a platform to present their work, foster dialogue between academia and industry, and promote scientific dissemination
The congress is open to researchers under 35 years old from EU GREEN universities, including PhD students, master’s students, faculty members, and postdoctoral researchers. Participants will have the opportunity to present their research in brief oral sessions, categorized into Arts and Humanities, Sciences, Health Sciences, Social and Legal Sciences, and Engineering and Architecture.
Industry representatives and companies will also take part, providing feedback and networking opportunities in discussion panels that strengthen the connection between research and real-world applications.
Participants will deliver short research presentations on topics they are currently working on or have previously developed. These presentations will be grouped into the following five knowledge areas:
- Arts and Humanities
- Sciences
- Health Sciences
- Social and Legal Sciences
- Engineering and Architecture
Each in-person presentation will last 10 minutes, while online presentations will be limited to 5 minutes to accommodate remote participants.
The Young Research Marathon 2025 will be conducted in a hybrid format, featuring both in-person and online sessions, with priority given to EU GREEN researchers who are unable to attend physically.
- Deadline for abstract submission: February 21, 2025
- Notification of acceptance: February 28, 2025
- Full papers will be compiled into an ISBN-registered book published by the University of Extremadura.
This congress is designed not only to promote research and innovation but also to support a solidarity initiative linked to the UEx Office of University Social Responsibility.
