EU GREEN Infrastructure Days in University of Angers

On January 23 and 24, the EU GREEN Alliance held its Infrastructure Days at the University of Angers, specifically at the Institut Universitaire de Technologie (IUT) on the Belle Beille campus. The event brought together work package coordinators and IT experts to discuss the technological needs and communication strategies of the alliance.

Organized by the EU GREEN Infrastructure team, the meeting provided a collaborative space to align efforts and explore solutions for enhancing internal communication and management across member institutions.

During the two-day event, participants collaborated to identify key requirements for the development of an internal communication system, aimed at improving efficiency and coordination within the alliance. Another key focus of the discussions was the potential of the Engagement Hub platform, which offers promising opportunities to facilitate collaboration and streamline workflows across EU GREEN’s diverse network. Several strategic decisions were made, and tasks were allocated to ensure progress on these initiatives.

The event was honored by the presence of Patrice Mangeard, Director of the IUT, who highlighted the significant role of the EU GREEN Alliance in fostering international cooperation and emphasized his enthusiasm in hosting international events of this scale at the university’s facilities. His words reinforced the commitment of the University of Angers to support initiatives that drive innovation and sustainability in higher education.

Beyond the strategic discussions, the Infrastructure Days also offered participants the opportunity to engage in inclusive activities that reflect EU GREEN’s commitment to social responsibility and accessibility. Attendees experienced adaptive sports such as wheelchair racing and blowgun shooting, gaining insight into sports designed for people with disabilities and promoting awareness of accessibility in higher education environments.
