The University of Évora is welcoming international participants this week for the Blended Intensive Program (BIP) titled “Living, Inquiring, and Knowing: Outdoor Practices for Sustainability.” As part of the EU GREEN Alliance, this program offers a unique opportunity for students to engage in immersive outdoor learning experiences focused on sustainability.
Running from September 26th to October 30th, the course combines online and in-person activities. During the in-person week in Évora, participants are involved in student-centered learning that encourages them to connect with their environment, both human and non-human, through a variety of outdoor practices. The program is designed to foster the creation of sustainability-focused projects in outdoor settings, providing participants with practical tools and innovative educational methods.
After the in-person week, the program continues with online sessions, including theoretical discussions and case study analyses. These sessions aim to deepen participants’ understanding of sustainability and help them integrate these practices into their daily lives as global citizens.
This initiative under the EU GREEN Alliance exemplifies the collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to education, empowering students from different backgrounds to tackle global sustainability challenges.
