Taking place on November 25, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. CET the Masterclass will be conducted online via Zoom and will feature two distinguished speakers. Prof. Marília Cid, a renowned expert in pedagogy and education from the University of Évora, focuses her research on assessment practices in higher education. She will be joined by Prof. David Boud, one of the world’s most highly cited researchers in the field of higher education and Co-Director of the Centre for Research in Assessment and Digital Learning at Deakin University in Australia.
The Masterclass will explore the shifts in assessment caused by the disruptions of COVID-19 and the rise of generative AI, which have prompted institutions to reconsider traditional practices. Discussions will focus on whether to return to pre-pandemic methods or adopt innovative alternatives. The session will highlight the importance of designing assessments that not only measure learning but also foster long-term skills, equipping students for the challenges they will face after graduation.
