Staff weeks & retreats

EDUCATION MEETINGS

 EU GREEN aims to build a community of learners, researchers, teachers, and administrative staff fully connected with each other and with regional ecosystems. The creation of the EU GREEN academic community is a necessary step into that direction. The Academic Retreats and the Education Staff Weeks are in person meetings aimed to foster the EU GREEN academic community and continuously improve EU GREEN educational model.

STAFF WEEKS

Every year EU GREEN partners organize a staff week where the Joint Education Commission. The objective of the staff weeks is to revise the Educational Strategy, define more detailed actions plans and monitor their implementation, following an agile, collaborative and continuous improvement approach. Each Staff week focus on the most priority issues being faced so as to guarantee a smooth implementation of EU GREEN educational Strategy.

1st EDUCATION STAFF WEEK

The first staff week was hosted by Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences with the objectives of establishing the EU GREEN Educational Strategy and Guidelines and developing the EU GREEN Pedagogical and Professional Development Programmes.

 

2ND EDUCATION STAFF WEEK

The second staff week was hosted by The University of Évora. The main objectives were to offer several workshops, select the 3 EU GREEN pilot joint degree programmes, define the themes and calendar of the Masterclasses, discuss a preliminary proposal for the Minor in Sustainability, discuss the MOOCs Guidelines and the plurilingualism plan of action.

RETREATS

EU GREEN partners organise and implement academic retreats in a rotative way.  The academic retreats are organised in one physical meeting at one partner university during approximately three-four days. Each academic retreat features a theme based on the educational framework and the purposes, aims and learning outcomes of the Pedagogical and Professional Development Programmes and focus on sharing experiences and interaction within the Alliance.
